Position: Mulch Blower Operator
The Gardeners are seeking an experienced and professional Mulch Blower Operator to join our growing team. This role is essential in delivering high-quality, efficient installations for residential and commercial landscape projects.
Mulch blowing is a specialized application process that uses a high‑powered mulch blower to distribute organic mulch evenly, quickly, and efficiently across large or hard‑to‑reach areas. This method is widely used in landscaping because it significantly reduces labor time, increases consistency, and provides a cleaner overall finish compared to traditional hand‑mulching.
The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, dependable, and takes pride in producing clean, precise work while representing our company with professionalism on every job site.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate mulch blower trucks on residential and commercial properties
- Load, transport, and deliver mulch efficiently and to budget
- Operate blower systems to ensure clean, uniform applications
- Work closely with crew leaders and project managers to meet project schedules
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organized truck and job site
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members
Qualifications
Driver’s License
- Valid driver’s license required
- CDL-B strongly preferred
- Clean driving record required
Driving & Equipment Experience
- 2–3 years of experience operating commercial trucks and/or heavy equipment
- Experience with mulch blower trucks or similar equipment is highly desirable
Mechanical Aptitude
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and routine equipment maintenance
Safety-Focused
- Strong understanding of safe vehicle and equipment operation practices
Communication Skills
- Professional, respectful, and able to communicate clearly with team members and clients
Salary
Pay Range: $29-$33 per hour depending on experience.
